FYQ, do not depend on any software for building links. do manual submission and do not put all your efforts in very first day :)
Local SEO - Google local business center, have your company name with keywords - do not spam, be smart. Get reviews from your clients and add most relevant categories for your listing - you may find this option when you configure local listing. Then put your general SEO efforts. By this you should see the differnce.

Very interesting and helpful. This checklist is crucial for an effective search engine marketing strategy. Search engine marketing is not complex. Or expensive. You just need the right tools and right people to make it happen for you. Though I should warn that there are several companies out there which promise huge things without delivering results.
